2010 Catfish Tournament
Rules and Regulations

  1. All federal and state rules apply.  (See TX parks and wildlife rules & regulations.)
  2. No firearms allowed.
  3. No wake zone in front of boat launch area.
  4. You may enter alone or with partners of your choice.
  5. $100.00 per boat.  Includes two t-shirts, two hats, and two Swamp City Rod & Gun Club decals.
  6.  Optional $10 fee to enter big fish pot.  Pot will be split between big trash fish and big catfish. 
  7.  Boats must be launched from Bubba Smith’s cabin.
  8. Tournament will be held between Big Sandy Creek and Fred Lobster cabin.  You will be told to fish up river or down river at start of tournament.
  9. Live fish must be weighed in as you catch them.  Do not hold fish until end of tournament.
  10. All fish weighed in must have been caught during tournament hours by team bringing them to scales.
  11. Tournament will begin from Bubba Smith’s cabin at noon on Saturday by shotgun start.  Tournament ends Sunday at noon.  Must be off river by midnight Saturday until 6:00 a.m. Sunday. 
  12. Four fishing poles are allowed per boat.  Twenty-five hook max on trot lines, throw lines, and/or drop hooks.
  13.  In case of a tie, a flip of a coin will decide winner.

  15. Prize packages will be awarded to 1st thru 3rd place.  Door prizes will also be awarded to participants in the tournament.
  16. Please be aware of your surroundings.  There will be a lot of kids present whom we want to keep safe.
  17. There will be a separate prize for the kid who catches the biggest fish on rod and reel.  Must be caught from the bank in front of the cabin during tournament hours.
